Where do I begin with sewing. Its a love and hate relationship. I love sewing, when it goes according to plan, but I hate it when it doesn't. The funny thing is, when I have nothing else to do, its what I now fall back to for something to do. I've sewn plenty, but I keep making things up to sew. I guess I just love to sew.

Senior Collection: Silent Moon |
Witches Sophistication |
Silent Moon is my Senior Collection for Threads 2020. It is a five garment collection with four total looks.
The collection is made to be sizes 18-20 and for the Spring/Summer for 2020. My main inspiration came from the pagan practice in its simplicity, natural feel and astrologically inclined. I created the collection to demonstrate the beauty of plus size women, but also the beauty of the goth lifestyle. A lifestyle that can be professional, as seen in my collection. My collection is both formal and business professional with styling choices for Spring and Summer weather. Of course, keeping the lifestyle in mind, the fabrics are light weight, sleeveless or short sleeve with access for breezes via the industrial bar closures and knee length for comfort. The garments are stylish and functional. Below are my sketches, moodboard and final looks for my collection. |
Witches' Sophistication is a collection that is meant to show the beauty of the estranged and odd. The collection was designed for the Fall of 2019 and for plus size women's wear. The collection is made for the size 18. It includes a halter dress with pockets, a hoodie and a pair of ripped jeans. The collection was inspired by the spooky elements of the supernatural and occult as well as the up rise in witch appreciation. I designed the collection to represent the simplicity of the natural order. This is shown in the simple construction as well as the material used, both basic. The collection was designed as partially formal wear, but also edgy street wear. Below are my sketches, moodboard and final looks for the line |

Bitter SweetBitter Sweet is the idea, that in its simplest form, is everything that I am not. I am trying to challenge myself by designing for aesthetics that are not my own. The garment(s) were designed for the summer of 2019 and for plus size women's wear.
With that being said, I am very partial to this collection. This collection is based on everything that is girly and cute. So pretty much everything that I am not, with that being said, I am not bitter to say that I still enjoy the collection. |
BelovedBeloved is the result of Bittersweet. I felt so out of place that I felt the need to express myself in the usually manner again. The aesthetic was, again, dark and gothy. It was also a challenge still, as I modeled the cloak after a 1500's Mantle, or a half cloak. I used various history textbooks to design and pattern the mantle.
I am more than partial to this item. It speaks to me on many levels; my love of history, my love of cloaks, and all things dark or mysterious. The embroidery was a touch of detail that I wanted to incorporate as it was the most common form of adornment for the 1500's. It also is a hobby of mine. All of the embroidery was hand sewn and designed by me. The lining was digitally designed using Photoshop, and patterned with Modaris. |

Meadow SweetMeadow Sweet is a collection that is meant to show the beauty of the occult and pagan. The collection was designed for the summer of 2019 and for plus size women's wear. This collection is everything that I stand for visually and aesthetically. The collection below is made for plus size women's wear in the sizes 18-20.
The collection was inspired by nature, the pagan practices and macabre. The collection has a flare for being dramatic, yet professional and appealing to the eye. Below are the sketches, moodboard and final looks for the line. |
Side ProjectsBelow are projects that I did for fun and for myself. The projects are a wide range and were to test my skills as a technical designer and seamstress. Overall, they aren't the worse things in the world, I would love to have time to redo them and improve them.
